How to split and merge product groups?

Articles are classified into groups based on the grouping attributes (Group Name, Group Description Header. Group Description Footer). Groups are assigned a unique ID that is displayed in the Article Group ID information column.

After classification, articles can be moved to other groups via the "Group ID" column. The content of this column is otherwise free. The cell content determines the grouping: all cells with the same content lead to a new group.When reclassifying existing groups, it still applies that within a (new) group there may not be any differences between the data in the columns that contain information at article group level; if this is the case, the importer considers this an error.
